Shiitake Mushrooms

We started growing Shiitake mushrooms in our cabin. I ordered 3 indoor kits from Fungi Perfecti.  They're blocks of sawdust that look like popcorn. I soaked them in water for a day and then put them under a plastic tent. I spray them with water 3-4 times a day. Mushrooms have started to appear after a couple of days and they're growing fast! I can't wait to harvest them. Apparently, we can harvest them after 2 weeks, then we have to let the block rest for 2 weeks and then start the whole process again. The blocks should produce for 16 weeks or so. I'll write more about it after our first harvest.
