Hunter education classes

As I'm hoping to start bow hunting this year we had to take a hunter education class. It was a little slow, as we were in class with six year olds, but I had never been around guns before and it was interesting to see how they work. That didn't make me want to use them though.

I aced the test just in time for turkey season but the winter had been so mild that turkeys had already moved up valley. Last year they were just hanging around the property, which was much more appealing to me. With the forestry project starting again I didn't want to take time off to chase turkeys so I guess I now have time to tune my arrows some more and start hunting deer in the Fall, though I need to look at the regs to see if I could hunt some game birds before that.
