Gatherings

I taught 2 primitive traps classes at Earthwalk Northwest and that was a big hit. We covered paiute traps, learning how to make cordage out of dogbane for that purpose, as well as promontory peg traps, and the scissor snare, which is a little more sophisticated but very cool.

At Saskatoon Circle I taught the same primitive traps class, as well as an 8-shields model class (understanding group energetics through the cycles of nature), and a storytelling class. That last one was very good, as we explored the role of stories and storytelling in traditional societies.

After these gatherings, I took advantage of the last warm week of the year to soften 6 deer hides in 6 days! That was a lot of work, but I'm glad I have them to work on projects this winter.
