We had a great time at the Alberta Herb Gathering! It was a small event, very conducive to interacting with participants, and with first-rate teachers. It was our first time in Alberta and the people were especially friendly and eager to learn. If you're interested in herbal medicine and live in the Edmonton area (though some people came from as far away as New York!) you may want to attend next year's event so check out
their website and
facebook page to stay in touch.
We took the opportunity to camp in
Banff and
Jasper National Parks, treasures of the Canadian Rockies, with lots of (receding) glaciers, beautiful mountain plants, and lots of wildlife including Stone Sheep, Mountain Goat, Elk, and Black and Brown Bears. Here are a few pictures to whet your appetite.

First time on your site, Great photos thanks. It is a bit scary to see how much the glaciers are receding.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures. There is nothing more refreshing than natural beauty.
