Saskatoon Circle

Some friends of ours decided to organize a primitive skills gathering just south of where we live. Considering that it was its first year, we had a somewhat limited number of people who showed up to participate but it was still a great success and I am hoping that Saskatoon Circle will be an annual event from now on.

I taught hide tanning with Katie and we had six students working hard for four days. In the end, they all produced some beautiful brain-tanned buckskin!

On top of hanging out with nice like-minded folks and learning tons of cool stuff, Cameron cooked all the food with local and organic ingredients. It was incredibly good and was definitely worth every penny of the event price, which was already really low.

So all in all it was a good experience and we'll probably be back next year. Come and join us!
