Mentoring

This winter I have been mentoring Leif, an 11 year old boy, in primitive living skills.

We've been making rawhide boxes painted with mineral paints, bow drill fires with a buckskin thong and practicing our hand drill technique, pine needle baskets, snares and dead-fall traps, and a very cool slate ulu knife with an antler handle.

I wish I were less lazy so I would take and post pictures of all this cool stuff! Maybe some day... ;-)
