Hunting bow

I finally got myself a nice hunting bow I feel confident about. For a few years I tried to make my own bow and arrows but was never really good at it. I could keep on practicing making them but, in the meantime, my stomach is growling every day. So it was time to take the next step so that I can finally start hunting.

I bought a used Bob Lee Hunter take-down long bow, 48# @ 28" and 62" AMO. It's really beautiful and is pretty much perfect for me. Now I need to fine tune arrows, which is a lot more complicated than I thought. But after that I will be ready.

I have been wanting to hunt for my own meat for a long time. I'll probably start with turkey this spring before I move to deer in the fall. I've never hunted before so it will be a nice challenge. Hopefully I'll be successful at it!
